Over time, sans Model, it meant The Artist
completed his effort "at a go".
In this case, YOU are "the" One sitting (in Quarantine) and you are not easily amused.

My minor clique of disputing art seers have recently become aware of The Legend of Tony Schafrazi. Tony was the artiste who vandalized Pablo Picasso's Guernica at MOMA in NYC, 1974. His rational, supposedly, was that "the precious object" as declared by the Art Elite was NOT "the art of the people".
Sometime thereafter he had the "realization" that Keith Haring (who "made art as a tree makes leaves" - even more so than Diego Rivera...) was in fact The People.
The Theory here is that Pop Art (of course personified by Andy Warhol) was an incomplete revolution;
"ART" still belonged to the Taste-makers/ The Oligarchs . Ergo: Street Art was The TRUE Real Deal. We can be ascertained it did indeed climb across every barrier and over every fence. It remains that one person's Graffiti - Free Expression is another's Property Vandalism and that this form is internationally ubiquitous, The Stuff of Legacy. I guess I should knot the simile (with trepidation); One man's Activism is another's Mob Rule. -The gray areas of thought are gray because they are uncertain, in play, malleable.
From my point of view, not terribly good for the garret squatters but very nice for Tony when he came to commercial enlightenment. Ultimately, I do have more affinity with Tony and Jeffrey Deitch than The Purist on Cloud because The World Is The World and That Is the Subject of Art.

July 2021, The Thing is declared "over", sort of, maybe. The Open Vista is a step away except it isn't.
In this depiction, the vista to The Hollywood Hills is available and open, not so much The Vista Theater
that is clearly not together.
The New Day is a bit bleached, not so much where you would not want to be born anew, perhaps as an Artist, like Keith. A New You, In a New Day, In a New Life beyond the textured tombstones.
It has also recently come to my attention that certain Eruditeas or Depictoids, didn't really get what Picasso was about a century ago. They feel it is The Job to render a photograph to the precision they cannot so as they may award with ceremony a Gold Star. It is one thing to work for the onerous MAN,
but quite another to Render Onto Asshole.
The Damn Thing is a Battlefield, at war with itself until one more hill is taken, one more revelation surmised and Eureka is screamed; ask Willem.
The Milkmaid is the key and behold "the slipping glimpser".
